After receiving a cease & desist letter from the United States Postal Service, an agreement has been reached and the band The Postal Service no longer has to consider changing their name. As part of the settlement, the band will be playing a three song set at the annual USPS convention (November 17, 2004, in Washington DC). Despite persistent rumors, The Postal Service will not
be on the USPS float for Macy's Day Parade, and a likeness on an upcoming stamp is probably a long shot.
